Asbestos Surveys

Comprehensive assessments to identify and manage asbestos-containing materials in your property.

Identify Asbestos Before It Becomes a Problem

If your property was built or refurbished before the year 2000, it may contain asbestos. Our qualified surveyors will identify any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and provide clear guidance on managing or removing them safely.

Legal Requirements

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, duty holders of non-domestic premises must manage asbestos in their buildings. This includes having an asbestos survey to identify ACMs and maintaining an asbestos register. Failure to comply can result in significant fines and prosecution.

Types of Asbestos Surveys

We offer three types of surveys to meet different requirements.

Management Survey

The standard survey for normal building occupancy. We locate and assess asbestos-containing materials that could be disturbed during routine maintenance or day-to-day activities.

  • Suitable for buildings in use
  • Identifies ACMs and their condition
  • Provides risk assessment
  • Includes management recommendations

Refurbishment & Demolition Survey

Required before any refurbishment or demolition work. This intrusive survey identifies all ACMs in the area where work will take place, including those hidden behind walls, above ceilings, and in floor voids.

  • Required before building work
  • Fully intrusive inspection
  • Identifies all hidden ACMs
  • Essential for compliance

Re-inspection Survey

A follow-up survey to reassess known asbestos-containing materials. Regular re-inspections ensure your asbestos register remains accurate and any deterioration is identified promptly.

  • Updates existing surveys
  • Checks ACM condition
  • Maintains compliance
  • Recommended annually
